Hidden Assumptions
For the skin tone test, I was surprised that I got a a moderate preference to light skin than to dark skin because I honestly don't think it matters. I'm friends with both kinds of people. It kind of made me angry because I don't feel that I have a preference, it was just slow hands. For the second test, which gender goes with science or liberal arts, I felt that the strong association made more sense to me because in the past, I've had more male teachers for sciences, and more female teachers for liberal arts. I feel like the results of both tests should be taken with a grain of salt because past experiences influence some answers and not for others. An example of "good" people in the United States are Americans or white people, and an example of "bad" people are Mexicans or non-white people. I think that these examples are stereotypes because not everyone feels that way, and this country is based on the fact that everyone should be treated equally. In my opinion, a generalization is a stereotype because you're conforming whatever you're generalizing into one group.

Why TOK?
We take ToK because it helps us as students be more insightful about the world and why things happen the way they do. In math we use tok to ask questions about why the function is the way it is, instead of just letting it go unasked or not even bother thinking about why it could be that way.

what is tok anyway?
ToK stands for Theory of Knowledge, which means that instead of just getting problems to solve, you have to think about why you would answer them a certain way.
Way of Knowledge, Area of Knowledge, and how it affects me as a person
Ways of knowing: sense perception.
area of knowledge: the arts
I chose these two parts because as a student, I learn visually and by doing an activity
